GRADES & TOPICS
Focus on communicating effectively with different audiences. Gain the ability to analyze texts and explain the meaning of specific elements. Develop the fundamental writing skills to generate, gather and organize ideas for an intended purpose.
Understand oral texts by connecting, comparing and contrasting ideas and information related to their day-to-day lives. Use a variety of vocabulary to communicate effectively and identify a range of vocal effects. Focus on the tools to essay writing and methods of organizing ideas.
Develop knowledge and skills through the study of theory and its relation to real-world applications. Assist in novel studies and essay writing. Preparation for the OSSD. Focus on effective oral and written communication.
French as a second language will have a similar curriculum as English study. Focus on developing a set of vocabulary to strengthen creative thinking, written and oral communication skills.
Focus on spelling, pronunciation and communicating orally. Develop the ability to become critically literate and understand the meaning behind texts, as well as the awareness of aspects of culture in diverse French-speaking communities.
Participate in spoken interaction and develop skills to communicate information and ideas fluently. Expand vocabulary in reading and written context under a fun and interactive environment.
